The Graduate Program in Landscape Architecture, in the School of Architecture at The University of Texas at Austin, invites applications for the tenure-track position of Assistant Professor to begin Fall 2009.
The successful candidate will hold a Master of Landscape Architecture degree with additional credentials in the area of environmental planning, such as a Ph.D. in Planning or an accredited master's degree in planning. The candidate must be a talented designer with the ability to impart his or her knowledge through rigorous design teaching in the landscape architecture curriculum, while offering additional courses in the areas of environmental planning and natural systems. The MLA Program offers opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration within the School of Architecture and with programs and research institutes across the University of Texas campus. Opportunities to engage in sponsored research are also available through the School of Architecture's Center for Sustainable Development, which coordinates grants and contracts on a variety of topics.
