TENURE-STREAM APPOINTMENT IN LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE
Full-Time Position in Design and Ecology/Infrastructure
The John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design, University of Toronto, invites applications for a tenure-stream appointment in landscape architecture focusing on landscape design and representation with a particular focus on urban ecology and/or urban infrastructure. This appointment is to be made at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, effective July 1, 2009 or shortly thereafter. Applicants should be presently engaged in research and teaching in the areas of landscape architecture and urban ecology and/or urban infrastructure. The successful candidate will be asked to teach and pursue research within the Master of Landscape Architecture Program, and to collaborate with teaching faculty in the Master of Architecture and Master of Urban Design Programs. Particular emphasis will be placed on the candidate's preparation for and experience in teaching design studios and representation courses as well as courses informed by urban ecology and/or urban infrastructure. Candidates must hold the Master of Landscape Architecture degree or a comparable terminal degree in an allied profession or discipline. Candidates should have teaching experience and a record of research productivity as evidenced by publication in the field of landscape architecture. Demonstrated excellence in teaching and research is required. Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
